TE MATA PEAK

Te Mata Peak was the perfect end to our wine tour. I don't know what was more dizzying, the winding narrow road leading up, or the view from the top of the carpark. Some might think consuming the amount of wine that we did would be a bad idea, but it gave me the liquid courage to face my fear of heights. I don't remember ever once feeling scared, I was too much in awe of the vast views of Hawke's Bay and the lowering sun creating drastic shadows on the surrounding mountains.
