I've had to create a separate post for Cathedral Cove due to an overload of photos and wanting it to still be enjoyable to read/look at. These photos were taken over the weekend from our trip to the Coromandel Peninsula. Cathedral Cove is very popular with tourists and with very good reason so. Before even heading down to the track that leads you to the cove, you are atop a hill with some spectacular views of the ocean dotted with surrounding islands and rocks. The track itself is a good 45 minute walk with some up and downhill climbs so be prepared. At the end of the track you see the beautiful Cathedral Cove and beach which would make the perfect spot for a picnic lunch and swim in the summer. For winter goers it's the walk that makes up most of the fun. A highly recommended walk for anyone exploring the Coromandel no matter what time of year.
