A couple weeks ago I returned to Sydney to visit Liam. This time round we were a lot less touristy and the only trips we made were to Manly and Bondi Beach (pictured below). It was crazy being able to sit on a beach and see so many people in the water in June! Anyway this trip we decided to focus on just spending time together, and exploring the city a bit more.
Lucky for me the Sydney Vivid festival was still on whilst I was there. Unfortunately I haven't really attempted taking any night time shots with my camera yet so thought I would just commit some images to memory instead. It really was visually stunning and seeing the projections on the Sydney Opera House was incredible.
Vivid also coincided with The Sydney Film Festival. We saw 'Scientology: Going Clear and the Prison of Belief' at the State Theatre. The documentary was a real eye opener to what went on within that cult with interviews from a few ex-members. Alex Gibney, the director, even showed up and answered some of the audiences questions afterwards! Definitely a highlight of the trip.
That was probably one of my last trips to Sydney for a while. Next stop NEW ZEALAND! Liam is coming over in 10 days time. Not that I'm counting or anything. Keep an eye out for posts about my beautiful country. Can't wait to show you all what it has to offer and be a tourist in my own country again. Hopefully I do it justice!
